Customer Review: Can’t afford to operate the camera
I purchased the Samsung camera about 3 months ago thinking it would be a great camera to take along on my vacation to Alaska in August. Sure am glad I bought it early! I couldn’t afford to buy batteries for this camera. On several occasions, I only got 6 pictures out of one set of batteries. I have an older digital, took the batteries out of the Samsung (It indicated they were dead) and used them in the other camera for 20 more pictures. I recently bought another camera to use on my trip, anyone want to buy a Samsung S730? Cheap!!!
Customer Review: Great pictures but terrible battery life
I bought this camera to use while hiking and otherwise away from a constant supply of batteries. If you buy this camera, you better bring huge supply of batteries with you. For instants, once in a while I would get maybe 20 or so photos before it shut down, sometimes only 3 or 4 and a couple times it would not start up with store fresh Duracells. It always seemed to shut down when I needed it the most. On the positive side the pictures look great, the camera has easy to use controls and the supplied Windows software works well. All in all I suggest you look elsewhere for a digital camera.

Customer Review: Fill In Camera
My Canon PowerShot S50 developed a twitchy on and off syndrome and finally stopped working altogether while on vacation in Germany so I looked at what I could get for about 150 Euros and ended up picking the Samsung L100 with 2 GB RAM. It had image stabilization, more megapixels (8.1) and a percieved quality about it that attracted me, although I didn’t know that I could have gotten it for much less here. I am embarrassed to admit that I had to go back to the store for them to show me how to use the self timer, because the quick start manual didn’t show how and I couldn’t figure it out myself. All I had to do was to press the multi control button right side repeatedly until the timer icon comes up and by pressing the right side of that button repeatedly you select the 2 or 10 second option. Then postion the camera and hit the trigger button and it works fine, with little flashes of light telling you when to get ready by increasing in frequency until it shoots a picture. It has a fairly advanced red eye protection system that works well. I am happy I bought it because the other options available were for more money or for less features at that price. The pictures it takes are very nice.Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver)

Customer Review: Great Little Camera - So far I love it…
I bought this camera in July and I have used it on several vacations. The features I like about this camera include the large viewer, the compact size, and the touch screen. The pictures I have taken to date have been great, the camera will compensate for shaking and lighting. Matter of fact, it does pretty much everything a camera can do, including taking videos, recording sound, telephoto, ect. The touch screen is great, you can scroll through your pictures and do camera settings very easily. I am not a camera buff, just a nice lady that likes to take pictures that I can easily download and edit. The negatives have mainly to do with the instruction manual - it is not very user friendly - had to read it a few times to get the gist of how the camera operates. Other than that one item, this camera is worth the price I paid for it and then some.

Customer Review: SAVE YOUR MONEY
We purchased this during the Christmas sales from Tigerdirect. I used it for about 2 months without any problem. Then one day the lens stuck open and the screen went black. Power turned off. Tried removing the battery and replacing. Battery was charged up to full and still would not work. Zip, Zero response. About a week later I picked it up because I noticed the lens had retracted. Camera was not on. I turned it on and it worked fine. Then about 3 weeks later I used it again and was playing back the pictures on the screen when it did the same thing again. I recharged the battery to full and while hooked up to the computer I was able to turn it on and the lens retracted. But after a full charge it still will not turn on. Even connected to the computer it will not turn on. I have researched the Samsung site but nothing is mentioned about this problem. I did find the E18 error code that is associated to Canon cameras and the symptoms are the same except for the lack of the E18 code on the screen. In hindsight I wish I had purchased one a little more expensive that did not have this problem. I am in the process of trying to get a RMA for warranty repair. But if they are like Canon it will be a user error or misuse even though the camera is kept in a camera case and has not been abused at all. Wish we had spent another $50 and got a Sony.
Customer Review: A great camera - tremendous for the price
I think this camera is awesome for the price. I have tested or owned a bunch of point-and-shoot digital cameras, including a really nice Canon, Panosonic, Nikon, Sony, Casio, Kodak, HP, GE, and several Samsungs. For the money, this is the best of all of them - as I said, weighing price against quality. For some reason, this very well-made and solid camera, in my opinion, has gotten a mixed review - maybe it has too many cool things that it does - I don’t know. But it takes great pictures. I think it might be a bit inimidating for the point-and-shoot crowd, because it has all these programmable functions - but that’s all I can think of. I give this camera 5 stars all the way.

Customer Review: Very good (cost-benefit)!
The cam is good and cheap. The problem is only about the battery… it goes really fast.
Customer Review: Great camera for the price
This camera is excellent. It is the 3rd digital I’ve owned and I’ve enjoyed it very much. It’s compact and full of features. You MUST, however, use super alkeline batteries because it eats the normal ones up fast. The batteries made for digital cameras do much better and are worth the price. The camera has a video feature that outshines any other camera I’ve seen on the market. I would highly recommend this product as a good value for little money you pay for it

Samsung L200 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver)

3x Optical Lens / 2.5? LCD / Digital Image Stabilization / Face Detection / 11 Scene Modes / Auto Red Eye Fix / Self Shot / Rechargeable Li-ion Battery
Customer Review: The best 10MP camera for the money
I previously bought a 10MP Fuji camera. I returned it because it was not a good camera. It was tough choosing another camera that was not too expensive. After a lot of time I chose this one and I am glad I did. I like a digital camera that takes good shots of people. I like a camera that brings out good flesh tones in people. This camera does it. Most all the pictures are sharp with great color. NO camera will make perfect shots on every shot. This one has a high success rate especially in auto mode. I have some great shots of El Salvador! I have a 10MP DSLR that is great. For taking regular snapshots of life, this little baby is great. It is clean, clear and small. It did take a while to learn the buttons and menus but take your time, you will learn. Here are the PROS and CONS PROS 1. Small 2. Seems durable 3. Great snapshots 4. Great for taking shots of people 5. Good for landscapes 6. I like the dial on top, it reminds me of SLR cameras. 7. Many modes and easy to change between all. 8. You can change ISO from 100 to 1600 9. I held this camera out the window of a taxi in San Salvador, El Salvador and took 10 random pictures WITHOUT image stabilization turned on. All photos came out SHARP. 10. It has a great, rechargeble L-ION battery that you can re-charge via USB or AC. CONS 1. A little slow between shots. Could be my non fast SD card (older model). 2. Video is not great. It is a little shaky. I played with the controls and made it better. 3. It has a strange spring loaded cover on the side for charging, AV etc. I dont know if it will last for long. 4. The image stabilization doesn’t help much. It already is very stable. If money is no object, buy a Canon for double the price. If not, buy this. It is a great camera. I am very happy with it.
Customer Review: Style Slimmed to Perfection
I just got this camera today so it won’t reflect too much on technical aspects/features. First of all I want to say that the picture featured here and Best Buy for L200 isn’t correct. If you want to see the accurate picture then find L210 model and L200 looks exactly like that model. Only difference between the two model is L200 has Digital Image Stabilizer and L210 has Dual Stabilizer (both optical and digital). I was really surprised at how small this camera is. I know lot of people actually coomplains of the compactness of some digital cameras, now I see their reason for complaint. Because it really does feel like it might slip and fall. But I like compact/thin cameras so it was big plus for me. It comes with an AC adapter so you are not stuck with USB cable to recharge the camera through your computer. Also included in the package is A/V cable to view pictures or video directly through TV monitor. Manual that comes with the package isn’t much help since it’s just a quick reference with 10 other languages. So you need to download the manual through the CD-ROM and it is 102 page worth of info that needs to be digested before actually appreciating all the features this little camera comes with. I took about 30 picture today and all of them look superb and I was twicking with different settings and modes. Best reason to get this camera is the price. Update: I have been using this camera for 15 days and I love all the quick scene modes and program mode. Auto mode does everything really well, too. One complaint I’ve is that it doesn’t let you delete a shot during preview. For example, after you’ve taken a shot you can view it from 1-3 sec but you won’t be able to delete the shot then rather have to go to picture view to delete. But I’m very satisfied with the quality pictures.
